Jake Aceto
Head Chef
Jake Aceto was raised in Boston, the oldest of five, in a house where food was always at the center of things. He started in restaurants at 14 as a dishwasher, moved into the kitchen not long after, and never left. After high school he tried culinary school, then decided hands-on kitchen work was the better teacher. His career took him from Washington, D.C., back to Boston, and eventually to Las Vegas, where he cooked under celebrity chefs in both cities, including time at Station Casinos and later at The Cosmopolitan, before joining the team at KJ’s Social. Jake's style is comfort food done right: familiar dishes, quality ingredients, and technique that doesn't call attention to itself. Much of it traces back to cooking with his mom growing up. His favorite dish on the menu is the Rigatoni, a nod to the family meals he grew up on back home. For a first visit, he points people toward the Reuben Egg Rolls, Half Chicken, and Rigatoni. Jake's approach is simple: make people feel like they're at home, and give them something worth remembering.
